THE LOVE STORY
Dancing is one of the most genuine forms of self-expression. Even with no words being exchanged you can tell a lot about a person from watching their body language, which proved to be true in a big way when Tracie first met Josh. Just moments after they met and made their way to the dance floor, all it took was one dance for them to recognize a relationship was forming.
“Josh and I met in college during our Junior year. I approached him at a dance club and before I knew it, we were lost in each other. At one point, we looked around and realized we were the only ones on the dance floor. It was a magical and sweet moment!”
As they left that night, one of Tracie’s friend made a prediction that wasn’t long in coming. “On the way back home, my friend told me he was going to be my boyfriend. A few nights later we had our first date scheduled!” Their first date hit a rough patch before it even began, but is now one of their most cherished memories. “We scheduled our first date on the same night I was participating in my sorority initiation which ran late so we missed our reservation. I suggested Waffle House, which Josh wasn’t too keen on, not wanting our first date to be breakfast for dinner. We still joke about our first date being at Waffle House!”
9 years, and many breakfast dates later, the big question came at a moment that felt perfect for both of them. “Josh and I were on a cruise to the Bahamas. As the sun was setting, we went to the upper deck to take some photos. I was looking out towards the water when I heard josh say ‘Tracie Daniell Jones’ and as I turned around, I saw the man I loved down on one knee. It was a perfect and beautiful moment.”
THE PERFECT DAY
Finding their venue for their big day was an experience nearly every newly engaged couple looking for their venue would envy. “Josh and I had only looked at one venue when my mom called to say a nice man who had helped put air in her tire at the gas station gave her his card for a wedding venue he and his wife had just opened. We scheduled an appointment and fell absolutely in love with the 10 acres of natural beauty. We couldn't have had our wedding anywhere more perfect!”
Their big day was just as perfect as the venue they hosted it at, but Josh’s favorite moment was a return to the place it all began; the dance floor! “We were on the dance floor the entire night and it was such a blast.”
For Tracie, it was seeing the love Josh held for her in a light she had never witnessed before. “When we were at the alter Josh was smiling ear to ear with tears streaming down his face. It was such a sweet moment. The whole ceremony he kept telling me how beautiful I was. It doesn't get any better than that!”
