Wine country in Temecula, CA has a natural beauty that is impossible not to appreciate. Its sprawling vineyards stretching into a picturesque hillside makes it the perfect spot to host a romantic occasion. Capturing all the special moments of Ciana and Garrett promising their lives to one another against the Temecula hillside, the Houghton wedding created the perfect romantic scenery that was at the top of the list for Yours Truly Media Photographer, Sean Morr’s photographer pick.
Having such beautiful natural scenery to serve as their backdrop, Ciana and Garett took a refined approach in selecting their décor. Rather than competing with the landscape, the Houghton’s used it to their advantage, utilizing subtle details that complemented their surroundings. “They got married at a winery, and each of their wedding details fit the theme. I loved how they chose very neutral tones and white florals, which really allowed the venue and the beautiful vineyards to stand out.”
Being in Southern California’s temperate climate poor days of weather are few and far in between, making the decision to host an outdoor ceremony an easy one. Throughout their ceremony the sun shined brightly through clear skies, the views remained impeccable, and Ciana and Garett were pronounced husband and wife on a day that couldn’t have been more perfect.
What makes a wedding so special isn’t simply the bride and groom, it’s all the people who are a part of their lives that come to share in their love. “I loved working with the wedding party. They had a very big, loud and fun party, and were an incredibly tight-knit bunch.” Surrounded by their closest friends, the couple’s bridal party was the perfect example of how love brings people together, and the joy it spreads to those around you.
Despite all the stunning landscape, the most beautiful moments of the day were those shared by the bride and groom. “The couple has been together since high school so they’ve gone through many stages of life together already. I love couples that are also best friends, and just from the photos you could get that vibe.” Confident in their love Ciana and Garett were able to lose themselves in the moment and enjoy every second of a wedding day that couldn’t have come at a more perfect time and place.
